Auditório dst | Edifício 8-EEG | Campus de Gualtar | Braga, 15h00
The School of Economics and
Management (EEG) hosts on January 30, 2023, at 3 PM, in the DST Auditorium, the
qualifying session for the XVII edition of the Startup program which is a
demanding youth entrepreneurship program, promoted by Junior Achievement Portugal
(JAP), in which several Portuguese universities compete. The session will be
hosted by Gonçalo Duque (CEO) and Bruno Ramos (COO) from Junior Achievement
Portugal and Paulo Machado from AGEAS Fundation.
JAP is considered the most relevant
(non-profit) entity in the promotion of young entrepreneurship at a global
level.
The initiative is framed within the
curricular unit of principles of entrepreneurship of the Marketing degree,
taught by professor Nuno Marques, lecturer of the EEG's Management Department.
The students present and support the entrepreneurial projects they develop
during the semester, in an "elevator pitch" format, in front of a
jury that evaluates and comments on the projects. The jury is composed by a panel of members
from prestigious organizations, such as Hugo Portela (Accenture), Pedro
Magalhães (Bosh), and Rui Martins (Porto Business School).
The teams of entrepreneurial
students from the University of Minho have won several awards in recent
editions of the Junior Achievement Startup program.
