First
edition of the science and technology communication workshop was aimed at
researchers
In the past June 28 took
place the science and technology communication workshop “Engenharia: Falar é
Fácil” held by the EEUM, at the Azurém Campus, Guimarães. The first edition’s
main objective was to empower the participants with knowledge and skills that
will allow them to communicate their research in a more appealing way.
The importance of the
science and tech communication, how to communicate with media and how to engage
society were the moto for the event that counted with participation of field
specialists, journalists, and professors of the UMinho. The event also included
two pratical workshops on media training and communications techniques.
The opening session was
conducted by Paulo Sampaio, EEUM Vice-Dean, that highlighted the relevance of
this workshop and potentiality of a good communication, mainly in the results
of I&D projects and the knowledge dissemination.
