The School of Engineering has been consistently evolving in terms of internationalisation activities, standing out for its education and research projects, which contributed to both UMinho’s and EEUM visibility, although inserted in a competitive network of international institutions of high quality and reputation.
The internationalisation activities of the EEUM have been promoting a network for sharing know-how and competences, granting its students the opportunity to participate in cooperation projects with renowned worldwide institutions. The internationalisation of the School ultimately contributes towards training qualified engineering and preparing its graduates for a globalised labour market.
In the framework of the University of Minho’s strategic plan for 2020, as well as according to recommendations from the Portuguese Ministry for Education and Science (MEC) and from the Council of Rectors of Portuguese Universities (CRUP), the internationalisation of the EEUM is a priority key action area.
