In the current context of higher education, internationalisation plays a central role in institutional development, contributing to the quality of educational provision, the strengthening of scientific excellence, and the global competitive positioning of universities. Within this framework, European policies have reinforced international academic cooperation and integration within the European Higher Education Area, through instruments such as the Erasmus+ programme and the European University Alliances, including the Arqus European University Alliance, of which the School of Engineering (EEUM) is a member.
In this context, EEUM places internationalisation at the core of its strategic development. The current Presidency team, in office since October 2025, reinforces this commitment by promoting the School's integration into international ecosystems of education, science and innovation, and by strengthening academic and scientific partnerships with institutions of recognised excellence.
The EEUM Strategic Plan establishes an integrated approach that brings together education, research and institutional cooperation. It promotes the international visibility of EEUM through the consolidation of strategic partnerships, participation in international academic and scientific networks, the development of joint teaching and research initiatives, and the promotion of mobility for students, academic staff, researchers and technical, administrative and management staff.
