In the occasion of the opening of the Bachelor Degree
in Visual Arts, EAUM, through its research centre Lab2PT (EAUM + ICS), together
with the Nogueira da Silva Museum, the project The Milena Principle*, and the Space Transcribers group, welcomes to
Guimarães from October 15 to 19, the event "The Walking Body" with
the participation of Geert Vermeire, Stefaan Van Biesen and Annemie Mestdagh.
This event will be a week of
conferences, workshops and performances about walking and arts, aiming
at the preparation of the 5th "Made of Walking" meeting, to be
held in July 2019 in the Prespes National Park, within the international
conference “The Walking Body”, organized by the School of Fine Arts of the
University of Western Macedonia in Greece.
The theme now proposed by
Guimarães for Prespes is exactly "The walking body", that is, the
"walking body" or the "aesthetics of walking" as an
artistic practice.
