1st Cycle

The application to the Portuguese public higher education system is annually promoted and scheduled by the Directorate General for Higher Education (Portuguese Ministry of Science and Education). Under the new International Student Status, created in March 2014, a new admission competition to the School’s 1st cycle and integrated master programmes is available. 2nd Cycle

The Master's Courses at EEUM mostly consist of 4 semesters, with the coursework corresponding to 2 or 3 semesters. 


Application Deadlines (Academic Year 2026/2027):

  • 1st phase - from April 13 to April 20, 2026
  • 2nd phase - from July 4 to July 15, 2026
  • 3rd phase - from September 3 to September 10, 2026

Candidate Selection:

  • 1st phase - until May 8, 2026
  • 2nd phase - until July 29, 2026
  • 3rd phase - until September 17, 2026

Enrollment:

  • 1st phase - from May 13 to May 18, 2026
  • 2nd phase - from August 4 to August 11, 2026
  • 3rd phase - from September 21 to September 23, 2026

4th phase: April 2 to June 5, 2025 (ranking by June 13 and enrollment between June 25 and 30)

1st phase: July 1 to September 5, 2025 (ranking by September 15, 2025, and enrollment from September 23 to 30, 2025) 

2nd phase: October 1 to December 5, 2025 (ranking by December 15, 2025, and enrollment from December 19 to 29, 2025) 

3rd phase: January 2 to March 6, 2026 (ranking by March 13, 2026, and enrollment from March 24 to 31, 2026) 

4th phase: April 2 to June 6, 2026 (ranking by June 15, 2026, and enrollment from June 23 to 30, 2026)

 

Doctoral Programs (academic year 2025/2026)

Starting in the 1st semester:

April 11 to 22, 2025 (ranking by May 9 and enrollment from May 14 to 19)

July 4 to 15, 2025 (ranking by July 29 and enrollment from August 4 to 11)

September 3 to 8, 2025 (ranking by September 15 and enrollment from September 17 to 19)

 

Starting in the 2nd semester:

September 2 to 5, 2025 (ranking by September 15 and enrollment from September 17 to 19)

December 2 to 5, 2025 (ranking by December 16 and enrollment from January 5 to 9, 2026)

Relevant information: 

The 3rd cycle courses at EEUM are divided into Tutorial Doctorates (thesis-only) and Doctoral Programs (coursework and thesis), both consisting of 6 or 8 semesters.

The application dates for Tutorial Doctorates and Doctoral Programs are different and are subject to the availability of vacancies.

Formação Contínua

Os cursos de Formação Contínua da EEUM dividem-se em Cursos de Formação Especializada (formação ao nível de 2º ciclo) e Cursos de Estudos Avançados (formação ao nível de 3º ciclo).

Candidaturas

As candidaturas serão efetuadas numa plataforma disponibilizada para o efeito, na qual os candidatos deverão carregar os documentos obrigatórios:

- Curriculum Vitae resumido;
- Certificado(s) de habilitações académicas (num único PDF) e;
- Comprovativo de pagamento da taxa de candidatura.

O pagamento da taxa de candidatura (curso não conferente de grau, creditado), no valor de 20 euros, é efetuado na Store UMinho.
