Under the motto “no boundaries”, the University of Minho (UMinho) organised the International Staff Training Week from the 24th to the 28th October. On the 27th October it was EEUM’s turn to welcome the event participants to Campus of Azurém. The visit was carried out in the framework of the Erasmus + International Credit Mobility (ICM) project.
The project includes several partner institutions relevant to the UMinho’s internationalisation strategy, among which are Yerevan State University (Armenia), Universidad del Magdalena (Colombia), Sun Yat-sen University, Shanghai University, Nankai University, Jilin University (China) and the Asian Institute of Technology (Thailand).
The main focus in organising this International Week is to present the hosting institution. The School of Engineering hosted a welcoming session including an institutional presentation, showing its competences in several activity areas. The session was concluded with a visit to some of the research laboratories located at the Campus of Azurém.

This may eventually lead to a joint project, in the framework of existing funding programmes. In this new mandate, the Dean’s team has taken on the commitment to increasing cooperation with universities and research institutes worldwide, and this is a further step in this mission”, the Dean of the EEUM, Professor João L. Monteiro, referred.
