The Dean of the EEUM recently participated on a mission to Zhuhai College of Jilin University, in Zhuhai, China, with the aim of strengthening the cooperation between the EEUM and this Chinese institution.
The visit aimed at continuing the collaborative activities that have been developed by the institutions since signing a collaboration agreement in 2015. In particular, the details of a cooperation agreement related to EEUM’s doctoral programmes to be attended by current students and faculty members of this Chinese institution were presented and discussed.
“This agreement is innovative because we will be able to provide training and capacity-building opportunities for the research and teaching staff of Zhuhai College, extending an already intense collaboration as far as collaboration in research projects is concerned to the field of education” João L. Monteiro said. “It is expected that this collaboration can be extended to all areas of education and research of the EEUM”, the Dean of the School added.
João L. Monteiro was received by the President of Zhuhai College, Professor Jingchuan Fu, the Vice-President, Professor Wanli Yang, the College coordinator of this doctoral programmes’ project, Professor Yanchun Liang, the internationalisation coordinator, Professor Shili Xu and also by Professor Xiaoyang Fu.
Created in 2004, Zhuhai College of Jilin University offers education projects in areas such as Economics, Art, Science, Engineering, Medicine and Management.
