Internacionalization Office

​The growing internationalization of the EEUM and the need to consolidate its position as a protagonist in the international panorama of Higher Education, led to the establishment of the Internationalization Office - EEUM with the objective of supporting and developing the international cooperation of the School, reinforcing its attractiveness and international positioning and strengthen its internationalization policy.

The Internationalization Office, created in March 2018, has as main objectives:

  • Developing the EEUM's Strategic Internationalization Plan and ensure its updating and implementation over the years;

  • Raising international funding, especially through the various forms of EU budget funding, with a focus on:

    • Participation in Erasmus+ Program Key Action 2 projects, coordinated by the EEUM Presidency;

    • Supporting the preparation and management of applications within the scope of Key Action 2 of the Erasmus+ Programme;

    • Supporting other types of projects financed by international funding sources.

  • Supporting the celebration, renewal, promotion of international protocols;

  • Supporting the implementation of new processes linked to internationalization (eg: operationalization of double degrees);

  • Identifying partnership possibilities for collaboration in international R&D projects;

  • Developing measures to support periods of international mobility (encouraging incoming and outgoing mobility of students and teaching and non-teaching staff);

  • Developing actions that support the international recruitment of students;

  • Contact point in the EEUM Presidency for international student support;

  • Organizing and follow-up of visits by foreign delegations;

  • Contact point at the EEUM Presidency for articulation between the sub-units and the UMinho's Internationalization Support Services Unit (USAI);

  • Prospecting potential international partners in conjunction with the Presidency;

  • Identifying good internationalization practices and implement them in the School;

  • Other relevant activities in the context of the internationalization of Higher Education.
