EEUM researcher receives Best Poster Award at ECCM18

Luís Manuel Machado Amorim, researcher at the EEUM's Institute for Polymers and Composites, was highlighted by the International Scientific Committee of ECCM18 with the Best Poster Award for the poster "Impact Damage Mitigation using Bioinspired CFRP Laminate Architectures ". The prize was awarded in Athens at the closing ceremony of the conference on 28 June 2018.

EEUM researchers awarded in Spain

The work "Mental Monitoring Stress through Mouse Behavior and Decision-making Patterns", by Filipe Gonçalves (PhD in Computer Science at UMinho), Paulo Novais (Centro ALGORITMI / ISlab UMinho), José Miguel Pêgo (ICVS / UMinho Medical School) and Davide Carneiro (Politécnico do Porto), won the "Best Application Paper" at the 9th International Symposium on Environmental Intelligence (ISAmI'18 - 9th - International Symposium on Ambient Intelligence) in Toledo, Spain.
