The School of Engineering
of University of Minho (EEUM) received a delegation from the Universitatea
Politehnica Timisoara, aiming to strengthen the international collaborations
between the two institutions.
As part of the strategic internationalization
plan, EEUM received a delegation from Universitatea Politehnica Timisoara,
Romania, composed of the Rector Viorel-Aurel Serban, Pro-Rector Liviu Ioan Cădariu-Brăiloiu and Professor Nicolae Crainic, in
order to exploring the possibilities of scientific and educational cooperation between
Portugal and Romania.
The delegation was received by the Dean of EEUM,
João L. Monteiro, and by Vice-Deans Rosa M. Vasconcelos and Paulo Sampaio. This
was followed by a visit to the facilities of the interface units of the
University of Minho, Center for Computer Graphics (CCG) and Innovation in
Polymers Engineering (PIEP). The visit ended with a presentation of the
Innovative Car HMI Program, an R&D partnership between the University of
Minho and Bosch Car Multimedia Portugal, with a visit to DONE Lab, a laboratory
inserted in this university-company project.
The visit is part of the EEUM internationalization
program, with a view to enhancing the existing collaboration at the level of the
Erasmus Interinstitutional agreement of the Department of Civil Engineering and
the Department of Polymer Engineering, which provides mobility for student, teaching
and non-teaching, and explore other forms of cooperation.
