EEUM
activities were attended by more than 90 students.
The University of Minho hosted for a week about
340 secondary school students in 22 ludic-pedagogical activities related to
science, engineering, health, social sciences and arts. The program, entitled
"Summer at Campus" (VnC), marks its tenth anniversary and has reached
around 3,500 young people from four continents.
VnC aims to help students of 9th to 12th grade
choose a higher education course through a deeper knowledge of their vocational
area. The future university students were accompanied by UMinho lecturers,
researchers and students (monitors), having had the opportunity to discover the
particularities of the different knowledge areas, to know the cities of Braga
and Guimarães, to meet with colleagues from different regions of the country
and from abroad, and to learn while they enjoy themselves.
At EEUM, the activities
involved all teaching and research areas of the school, with the participation
of more than 90 future students.
