Description


The great diversity and applicability of textile materials turn Textile Engineering into a broad domain which applies knowledge relating materials composition, structure and processing to their properties.

The employment options of the graduates include companies and research institutions related to textile and apparel industry, considering the materials and high added value textile transformation processes, including R&D in new materials, technologies and advanced technical textiles.

This course provides the technical and scientific capacity to access the courses of the second cycle (Master)

Careers


The course focuses on areas from the technical textiles sector (ropes, filters, stuffing and coating, tires, structures and parts for airplanes, satellites, spaceships, automobiles, boats, bicycles, sails, parachutes, etc.) and also on areas which are complementary to the industrial sector (distribution, manufacturers of textile equipment, dying and auxiliary products, consulting, research and development, laboratories, etc.).
