Description
This cycle of studies aims to prepare engineers with abilities in all phases of software development, namely the ones related to analysis, design, implementation and installation of software systems. Students should acquire great theoretical and practical experience in the analysis of problems, specifying requirements, designing the architecture of software solutions, using and exploring prototyping techniques, testing software applications, refinement and installation of programs, management of IT projects, maintenance of applications, and administrating computer networks to support them. Graduates in this integrated master course should be able to apply computer science and engineering skills solving specific problems of Informatics Engineering. As future engineers should also have the concern of rigor, either in execution or in management of software projects, assessing their quality, cost and economic impact, either in the deployment of their products in the target organizations.
