2nd International Conference on Food Contaminants
Back
7/13/2017 - 7/14/2017
Braga
The Applied Mycology Group of the Biological Engineering Centre from the School of Engineering of the University of Minho (
www.ceb.uminho.pt
) , and the Food and Nutrition Department of the National Institute of Health Dr. Ricardo Jorge (INSA,
www.insa.pt
), organize the 2nd International Conference on Food Contaminants (ICFC2017) to be held in Braga, from the 13th to the 14th of July 2017.
In 2015, INSA started the ICFC conferences to promote the exchange of advanced knowledge on food chemical contaminants and human health. This edition will focus on Climate Change and Food Safety, and their challenges in the near future. These two days meeting will provide excellent opportunities to present and discuss cutting-edge knowledge on Climate Changes and their impact on Food Safety issues.
The state of the art on climatic change will be presented and its impact on food safety and human health will be discussed. New challenges arising from climatic change as i) the need of reliable analytical methods for chemical contaminants assessment (including emergent chemical hazards and natural toxins) and for surveillance programs; ii) approaches for food safety systems and integration of new information on food databases, and iii) guidelines to assess the risk of emergent toxic metabolites, its mixtures and their impact on human health will be presented and discussed by world-renewed national and international scholars and participants.
