Guimarães
After the success achieved in previous
editions, the DEP - Department of Polymer Engineering of the University of
Minho, the IPC - Institute for Polymers and Composites and the PIEP -
innovation in Polymer Engineering, in partnership with the Municipality of
Guimarães, are organising the 3rd edition of the technological days - Polymers
2017. The event will take place between 30rd June and 1st July 2017, in the
Small Auditorium of Vila Flor Cultural Centre, in Guimarães.
The two previous editions had a very positive
impact on the more than 300 participants, from both the industry and the
academic community. To this end, the high quality of the speakers and the
diversity of topics treated in their presentations were a great contribute,
which gave rise to a lively and interesting discussion. Therefore, this 3rd
edition of the Polymers 2017 aims to consolidate this event as an annual forum
for technical discussion and scientific reference for all who develop activity
in Science and Polymers and Composites Engineering, including technicians and
managers, researchers, professors and students.
The importance of the city of Guimarães
| University of Minho, while National Pole of Polymer Science and Engineering,
is unquestionable:
For several decades, the DEP has been forming
1st cycle degrees, masters and doctorates, who collaborate in
multiple companies and national and international entities;
The IPC and the PIEP develop an
important research activity, and scientific and technological innovation as
well, with national and international impact.
During a day and a half, it is intended
to bring the industrial sector and alumni, students, professors and researchers
to present and discuss experiences, as well as innovations and scientific
trends, technology and market, through invited oral presentations and posters.
As in 2016, in the two days that precede
the event, a training course will be organised under the theme of applied
rheology to polymers and composites processing.
