The Summer School on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools for
Structural and Earthquake Engineering will be hosted at the University of Minho
(Guimarães, Portugal) between June 1 and 5, 2026. This four-day event is designed for civil,
structural, and earthquake engineers interested in applying AI to real
engineering problems.
The programme combines lectures, hands-on exercises, and
group projects, covering topics such as predictive and generative models,
AI-based damage interpretation, uncertainty-aware demand estimation and
structural optimization. A dedicated project day will allow participants to
apply what they learn and present their results.
Participants with basic programming skills and an interest in
AI are encouraged to join.
