The UMinho School of Engineering, seeking to respond to the need for modernization and internationalization of Higher Education, has been strengthening its position on the international scene. It assumes the international mobility of its students, faculty and staff as a priority, contributing to the training of qualified engineers and preparing graduates for a globalized world of work, while at the same time valuing the qualification of its employees and the sharing of good practices and know-how with their peers from other institutions and countries.
As defined in the EEUM's Strategic Internationalization Plan, any doctoral student who wishes to attend a semester abroad and who fulfills the necessary conditions can and is encouraged to do so. Post-doctoral researchers are also strongly encouraged to participate in international programs and activities.
